Participant Wardrobing

Assist participants in finding that perfect interview outfit! Bridge to Success will train you on how to greet participants as well as how to assist them as they search for an appropriate interview outfit. This is one of the most fulfilling volunteer roles at B2S. Working with participants as their clothing consultant provides you the opportunity to learn about their job search as well as their sense of style and color. Helping a individual achieve that extra ingredient, self-confidence, can provide immense satisfaction. Participants appointments last approximately two hours and are generally scheduled during the work day and on Saturday mornings.

Clothing Donor Day/ Inventory Management

Are you a fashionista? Love to make order out of chaos? Then we have three great opportunities for you.

1. Help us collect and sort donations during B2S’s monthly Clothing Donor Day. Volunteers help by transferring clothing from a donor’s car to our racks and by screening and sorting clothing in our inventory holding area. This is a great opportunity for a group to volunteer. We need of as many as 30 volunteers to get the work done in record time.

2. We always need volunteer help following a clothing drive to help screen and sort clothing donations. This also is a great opportunity for a group to volunteer.

3. The service center needs your help too! Use your fashion and design skills to keep the center looking chic and well ordered. We want our participants to have a great experience and how the center looks is just as important as how they look First impressions count!

Couture/Designer Sales

Can you spot couture, designer and vintage items? Are you an expert retailer, or just love to shop? Help us turn couture, designer and vintage items into funds that support our programs! Visit B2S once a month to check out inventory and turn these donations into program funds at our Serendipity Sales.

Interview, Appearance and Preparation Workshops

Staff- or volunteer-led seminars teach B2S participants the skills they need to be successful employees and balance their new responsibilities in the workplace. Seminar topics include: business etiquette, financial management, business grammar and speech, networking and interview skills, and stress and time management. Join a Committee

We are always looking for talented and interested individuals to serve on committees. The committees focus on marketing, special events, corporate sponsorships, obtaining hard to find clothing, website content and look, finance, and much, much more. Many committees meet in the evening, Saturday mornings and/or via conference call.

Help is needed with answering phones, entering data, filing, organizing mailings and client appointment reminders. If you are a great organizer and detail person, we are the place for you!

Organize a Clothing Drive

It's easy! We'll give you the tools you need to organize a clothing drive in a community, religious or corporate organization. One new or 'gently used' suit can mean a new beginning for a client.

Pinch-Hitters

Donate a day, half-day or lunch hour. B2S offers flexible, custom-tailored volunteer opportunities. If you have an hour a week, or an hour a year, we have a job for you!
